Welcome to the unofficial website of Cat44 Catamaran Sailing club of
Fort Lauderdale.
We are a wonderfully active social sailing club, blessed with one of the
best catamaran beach sailing spots in the USA.
We are out to have fun every weekend and promote the "Hobie Way of
Life". While most of the club members sail Hobie 16's to keep the racing
exciting and close, we are not an exclusive Hobie Club, and all
catamaran sailors are welcome to join our club.
We do take time to slow down and enjoy our friends and surroundings, and
while weekend racing is important, its the social scene that keeps this
club so successful.
You are always welcome to come on down to Fort Lauderdale beach on any
Sunday and join us, whether you are a complete novice or a seasoned
skipper. We are always looking for new people to hand out with and share
our love of sailing. So come and join us!
With the great beaches, excellent launching conditions and warm water
and weather all year round, it is no wonder that we consider ourselves
the luckiest sailors on the planet.
So if you are at all interested in sailing or just enjoying a great day
